Happy Halloween! Hope y’all had a terrific Tuesday! I’m always off of work on Tuesdays and Thursdays so after the kids go to school I can run around town like a maniac getting groceries, doing errands and of course, shop a little 🙂 This morning I had to get some last minute things for a road trip my mom and I are taking this weekend. So for today’s blog post, I’m breaking down some of my travel items. Since we are driving for our trip, this will be a shorter version. December we are headed to Dallas so I’ll do an even bigger post with all my travel essentials, especially since we will be traveling with the kids then!
First thing’s first when it comes to traveling with me, and that’s checking the weather lol. I always want to make sure I have the right clothing and accessories depending on the forecast! This weekend will be cold, so I’m making sure I’m packing lots of sweaters, boots, and warm layers. I always make sure I lay full outfits out (the top, the pants, the shoes, accessories, the whole she-bang!) so I know exactly what I’m going to be wearing each day. Nothing’s worse than scrambling to find what the heck to wear when you’re on vacation. (Unless you just stay in your pjs lol).
So as you may know, I’m such an organizer and that’s why I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bag-All items from shopbop.com. These help me know where everything is in my bag and they store everything perfectly. (Pete says they just add more “crap” to my bag 🙄😂). But seriously, they are so adorable, affordable and wonderful for traveling! I’m breakdown them down (although they are kind of self-explanatory as to what to put inside them):
TRIFOLD JEWELRY CASE: This looks small, but packs a big punch! I usually have 4-5 pairs of earrings, 3 watches can fit in the bottom pockets and the top pockets I have rings, necklaces and a few bracelets.
EARRINGS: Vanessa Mooney
EARRINGS: Panacea (on sale finally!)
MY VANITY TRAVEL CASE: You can literally put SO MUCH in here! I can always get all my makeup brushes, hair products, hygiene items and more in it.
MAKEUP BRUSHES: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071KVBSGV/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
BOOT BAG: Used for, you guessed it, boots. I can fit about 2-3 tall pairs and a few booties too!
CURLING IRON TRAVEL BAG: This has a heat tolerant liner in it so you can wrap up your curling iron or flat iron and stick it in there even if its still hot.
HAIRDRYER ORGANIZING BAG Besides my hair dryer I can usually get any extra hair products like shampoos or hairsprays as well as my straightener in this bag.
So besides all the above items, I always have my purse on hand obviously and the few things I must have when traveling that I carry in it are my makeup bag, my planner and sunglasses so they are easily accessible in case I need to touch up my makeup, if its really freaking sunny outside, or an event comes up then I lick to write it down in my planner (I do have a phone that i can use that for, but i love me some old school planners!). My makeup bag, makeup brushes and planner are all from Amazon and I have them linked.
SUNGLASSES: Quay Vivienne
So this post was rather easy since I wasn’t packing for myself and three other people. I’ll have that enormous blog post up in December 😉 Hope everyone had a safe and spookalicious Halloween! Trick or Treat! Brooke
