Fur Coats & 5 Degrees

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

Ya’ll, this weather in Cleveland has been brutal. As in, I cannot take photos outside for more than 45 seconds (and even that is stretching it lol). So with these horribly cold days we’ve been having, I’ve been wearing this gray fur coat on repeat. It’s from last year but have no fear, I’ve linked tons of others below that I’m in love with right now. Fur coats will never go out of style and the shaggy/fringe ones are so on trend for winter. They can be dressed up or you can wear them casual too (I’d even wear mine with leggings and Uggs!).

We are officially back to school/work tomorrow. I’m sad that my time with Vinny and Mia for their Christmas break is coming to an end, although there were a lot of days we all had extreme cabin fever (and I was ready for them to go back lol). I’m still so thankful that I got to spend so much time with them for the holiday season. They grow so so fast and I know I’ll always cherish these breaks we have together! Xo, Brooke

A Brand New Year

I hope you all had a wonderful and fabulous Christmas! I have been so MIA on the blog with the holidays, but I’m back on to start 2018!

I cannot believe 2017 has come to an end. I have so much to reflect on these past 365 days, including starting this blog and having all my amazing followers watch me as I grow my fashion page! I totally went into this with a blind eye and I love that you all support me so much! I hope I continue to bring you lots of outfit inspiration and beauty advice.

I wanted to share with ya’ll a few of my New Year’s Resolutions. Every year I go over these in my head, and besides the typical ones, I like to really concentrate on what areas I truly need to work on to be the best version of myself.

  1. Letting go of things that I cannot control – In case you didn’t already know, I’m a total control freak (I get this from my dad lol). I am so set in my ways of how things need to be, where stuff goes, what needs to be done, that I often find myself running around the house like a mad lady trying to do all these things. My goal for this year is to let things be and live in the moment as best I can.
  2.  Stop comparing myself to others – Ya’ll know how this goes. Being a blogger is seriously hard work. Especially when there are so many beautiful faces out there in the blogging world, it’s hard not to get down on yourself about how you look or feel. I am not ashamed to admit I do this. And with a new year approaching, I’m going to be true to myself and not worry about what everyone else has or does. We are all unique in our own ways and I need to learn to be thankful for the person that God created me to be.
  3. Listening more – I am often in my own little world with my thoughts, so if you’ve ever had a conversation with me, I sometimes tend to go off on a whole other tangent. For 2018 I want to stop and really listen to others, to take in what they have to say and be 100% attentive (especially my kids). So if you ever need to talk, I’m there for you!

These are a few that I feel are extremely important to me to be the best person I can be for 2018. I’d love to hear what your resolutions are! Comment and let me know 🙂

I hope everyone starts the New Year off with lots of love, positively, and maybe even a really awesome outfit 😉 Xoxo, Brooke
